GUWAHATI, July 30 - St Francis De Sales School, Narengi annexed the boys title of the All Guwahati Inter-School Basketball Tournament (Boys and Girls) defeating Netaji Vidyapith, Maligaon 69-60.
In the girls category, Don Bosco School, Panbazar beat St Francis de Sales School, Narengi in the final played at the Don Bosco School, Panbazar, on July 28.
The tournament was sponsored by TIYYA Construction. Pulak Goswami, president of the Basketball Association of Assam and Fr Sebastian Matthew, Principal, Don Bosco School, Panbazar gave away the prizes in the closing function.
Akash Rai of St Francis de Sales School and Anushka Gogoi of Don Bosco School were adjudged best players in the boys and girls sections respectively.
