NORTH LAKHIMPUR, Dec 17 - Twenty Health department staffs of Lakhimpur district have lost their jobs following action by Chief Minister�s vigilance team�s enquiring the alleged appointment scam in State Health department. This was stated in a memo No.CM Vigilance Enquiry/SVC/RSI/Case No.2/2016/1590 dated 3rd November 2016 to the Joint Director of Health of Lakhimpur by the Director Health Services, Govt of Assam.
According to the official order five BHW, ten NHW, one driver and five fourth grade staff of the Health department of Lakhimpur district were dismissed from their service. The order cited the lack of departmental sanction, no use of advertisement for the interview and not following any selection interview for the appointment of these staff from 2008 to 2015 as the reason of their dismissal.
Earlier, ten other staff of the same department in Lakhimpur were served notices for the held up of their salaries from December on account of charges of their illegal appointment.
