SC verdict on extra-judicial killings on Dec 10

IMPHAL, Dec 6 - Extra-Judicial Execution Victims Families Association Manipur members will light candles for three consecutive days from December 8 at the graves of alleged victims of extra-judicial killings by army and State security forces in Manipur between 2000 and 2012.

EEVAM president Renu Takhellambam said, �We firmly believe that justice will be delivered to us by apex court. The case is likely to be resolved by December 10 in the Supreme Court when it is expected to deliver its judgement on the case of alleged extra-judicial killings of over 1,128 persons by army and security forces in Manipur.

A bench of Justice Madan B Lokur and Justice UU Lalit is dealing with two petitions seeking a CBI inquiry or a special investigation team to conduct an inquiry into the alleged extra-judicial killings.
