SC to hear Paul�s bail on March 20

GUWAHATI, March 9 - The Supreme Court of India today fixed March 20 as the date for final hearing of the Special Leave Petition (SLP) filed by Rakesh Paul, the prime accused in cash-for-job scam in the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC), even as investigators continue to await the prosecution sanctions sought against Paul, and other arrested members Samedur Rahman and Basanta Doley, from the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The matter came up for hearing today after which the apex court has fixed the next date on which the fate of Paul would be decided.

In another important development, the Supreme Court today rejected the bail petition of liquor merchant Rajesh Jalan, the key accused in the multi-crore Excise department scam, top Government sources said.
