NEW DELHI, May 6 - Resuming its hearing on the loot of huge amount of cash and gold from a temple in Rani Tea Estate under mysterious circumstances, the Supreme Court today issued notices to Central Government, Assam Government and Director General of Police Assam returnable within six weeks.

He said that this aspect of the matter as to how the information got leaked should also be brought within the ambit of the probe. He further suggested that money and valuables recovered should be deposited into the government treasury.
It was alleged by the petitioner that at least 13 persons were involved in looting the hidden wealth. He also alleged that the stash was smuggled out of the temple by about a dozen individuals, in connivance with the police.
