SBI honours treatise writing contest winners

GUWAHATI, July 21 - State Bank of India authorities today honoured the best performers of a treatise writing competition on �Reputation Management�, organised by Learning & Promoting Public Relations (LeP-PR).

The contest was held last month for post-graduate students of journalism and mass communication courses. The best performers in the treatise writing competition were Arnab Jyoti Das, Chirasmrita Devi and Simi Saha, BCMJ Cotton College Guwahati; Maryam Zameela, University of Science & Technology Meghalaya; Milton Alam, Mumeninaz Zaman and Luna Talukdar, Metropolis Institute for Media Studies and Ruksana Begum and Shaheen Khurshid, Gauhati University.

Officials of PR Department of the SBI took the team on a conducted tour of the SBI Local Head Office Building, after which they were introduced to PL Das, General Manager, Network II, SBI North Eastern Circle. Das interacted with the students and exhorted them to stick to ethics, truth and value when they take up public relations responsibilities later on in life.

Kaushik Sinha, Circle Development Officer and Bijoy Chakrabarty, Assistant General Manager (Public Relations) SBI spoke to the students on different aspects of public relations in SBI. Each prize winning student received an appreciation letter and a memento from the General Manager.
