SBI chairperson visits city

GUWAHATI, Jan 22 - Arundhati Bhattacharya, Chairperson, State Bank of India visited Guwahati today. During her visit to the state, she attended an interactive programme with the students and faculties of IIT, Guwahati and also donated a sum of Rs 10 lakh to Sishugram, a child orphanage at Amingaon. Despite her busy schedule, she also met FICCI Ladies Organisation to discuss about empowerment of women entrepreneurs. This was stated in a press release.

A programme on Corporate Social Responsibility was organised at Local Head Office, Dispur, where Bhattacharya donated utility vehicles and a school bus to Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, Kailashahar, Tripura, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tezpur and Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Pandu, Guwahati, to facilitate their effort to provide multifarious services to the poor and underprivileged people, free medical camps and other benevolent activities within their area of operation. The donation was made in the presence of PVS LN Murty, CGM, NE Circle, Panna Lal Das and Gautam Bhattacharya, General Managers, SBI, Local Head Office, Guwahati along with other senior executives of SBI.
