SBI aid for Judges� Field improvement

GUWAHATI, Jan 2 - The State Bank of India today extended its corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm by donating Rs 4.5 lakh to the Kamrup Metro district administration as financial aid for the smooth maintenance and facelift of the historic Judges� Field here, which is one of the most important landmarks of the city, stated a press release.

Gautam Bhattacharya, General Manager, SBI, North Eastern Circle, handed over the cheque for Rs 4.5 lakh to Dr M Angamuthu, Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup Metro, who is also the chairman of the Judges� Field Management Committee, at a meeting held at the DC�s office in the presence of Sanjay Srivastava, Deputy General Manager (Business & Operation), SBI, Guwahati Module, Ashutosh Guha, Assistant General Manager, Guwahati branch, and other senior officials of the bank and district administration, the release added.

While handing over the cheque, Bhattacharya said that the State Bank of India, the premier bank of the country, has always played a pivotal role as a socially responsive organisation in contributing towards numerous initiatives in the social sector, besides normal banking activities.
