By CORRESPONDENT

DERGAON, Dec 20 Sahityacharyya Sayed Abdul Malik can himself be a character of a novel. A great novel can be written on him. If accomplished, it will be a notable work in Assamese literature. Upcoming writers may seriously consider the option.

The above was stated by noted story writer Imran Shah while delivering his speech as the chief guest at the Sahityacharyya Abdul Maliks 10th death anniversary observance organised by Anurag, a cultural organisation of Dergaon, at Chandranath Khound Bhavan of Dergaon Sahitya Sabha today. Shah also expressed his unhappiness that a proper analysis of the works of the Sahityacharyya was not yet done.

The meeting, held with literateur Prafulla Ch Bora in the chair, was inaugurated by writer Dr Kali Prasad Goswami. It was participated by Bhabesh Khound as the guest of honour. Both of them highlighted the different aspects of the Sahityacharyya.

Nurul Sultan, president of Anurag, anchored the meeting while the objective of the meting was explained by Indubhusan Mahanta, secretary of Anurag.
