NORTH GUWAHATI, March 6 � While releasing the second edition of Sanskriti Pallab, published by the Auniati Satra, Dr Pitambar Deva Goswami, Satradhikar, narrated how research on the rich Satriya cultural heritage initiated by the great saint Sankardev and his followers is being carried on at Teok by Satriya institutions and spiritual centres. Here, the learners are being acquainted with various Satriya cultures including training on writing on Sanchi leaf, preparing materials from cane and bamboos so that they could earn while learning.
Further, Dr Goswami narrated, how research into Satriya cultural field has attracted foreigners as well. Edited by Dr Dinesh Baishya, the second edition of the Sanskriti Pallab has meanwhile drawn the attention of the erudite section of the society, it was expressed in the meeting.
The meeting hosted and presided over by the Satradhikar Dr Goswami, was also addressed by Dr Baishya, Dr Lakshimi Gogoi, Prem Kanta Sonowal, Mohon Saikia, Sachin Bhuyan, Haricharan Doloi, Jogesh Saikia and Radha Borah etc. The meeting was anchored by Dwipen Bezboruah. It may be added here that amongst the members of the time old magazine Sanskriti Pallab (now upgraded to the status of a research magazine), of the Advisory Board, there are members from Western countries viz., America and Brazil. They are Dr Willium Besterman of New York and Dr Faborikiyo Md Almedia of Brazil.
