Satradhikar awarded

NORTH GUWAHATI, Nov 10 - Dr Pitambar Deva Goswami, satradhikar of the Auniati Satra has been awarded the prestigious �Bidwat Bhusan Panditta Award� by the Akhil Bharatiya Bidwat Parishad. The award was presented to 20 prominent scholars of the country at a meeting held in Varanasi on November 1. Dr Goswami received the award from the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh. Dr Goswami, while receiving the award stated that the honour he received is actually the honour given to the people of Assam and the rich heritage of satriya culture preached by the great religious preacher Sankardev.
