NALBARI, Sept 26 - Saronthai Football Club of Barimakha outshot 24th Battalion, Charaimari in tiebreaker by an aggregate of 4-2 goals in the final of the 48th Tarun Dutta, Satish Haloi and Madan Sarma Football Championship played at the Makhibaha HS School playground today.
The match was locked 2-2 in the regulation time. Golap Boro of the winning team was adjudged best player of the final while Krishna Kalita and Paban Boro of the battalion team received the best defender and best goalkeeper awards respectively. The final match was inaugurated by social worker of the locality Somnath Deka.
