GUWAHATI, May 21 � Union Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today informed that his ministry is yet to give the green signal to Kerala to host the SAF Games. Sonowal said he contacted Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and urged him to see to it that Assam hosts the SAF Games.
But Gogoi sought financial aid from the Centre to develop the State�s infrastructure and also informed the Sports Ministry that before November 2016 it will not be possible for Assam to host the event, Sonowal said.
Expressing his concern over the negative attitude of the Chief Minister, Sonowal said Gogoi should have taken active steps to host the SAF Games in the State.
