�Sapta Raag� to pay ode to Tripura�s princess poetess

GUWAHATI, Aug 28 - India Tourism along with city-based Byatikram MASDO will host �Sapta Raag�, a digital poetry session with eminent poetesses to celebrate the legacy of Tripura�s princess poetess Anangamohini Devi.

The online poetry session, which will be held at 2 pm on August 31, will be a presentation on seven enchanting poems of seven contemporary poetesses of Tripura to carry forward Anangamohini Devi�s legacy, stated a press release.

Smita Bhattacharya will be the reciter while the poetesses include Swati Indu, Sumita Dhar Basu Thakur, Debashreeta Choudhury, Sharmistha Choudhury, Siroshree Debnath, Mandira Laskar and Sebika Dhar.

Anangamohini Devi, daughter of King Birchandra Manikya, was a talented poetess who was blessed and inspired by Rabindranath Tagore. She had three poetry books to her credit and her poems used to be published regularly in the then famous literary magazines of Bengal like Bharati, Prabasi, etc. She was an inspiration for women writers and poets.

The poetry session will be live-streamed on the social media accounts of Byatikram Group.
