Santanu Kaushik Baruah�s 50th book released

GUWAHATI, Jan 19 � A treasure trove of information billed Biswa Parikrama, an Assamese book as good as an encyclopedia of the world, written by writer-journalist Santanu Kaushik Baruah was formally released at a hotel here on Sunday by former Asam Sahitya Sabha president Kanak Sen Deka.

Interestingly, the release of this 50th book by Baruah coincides with his 50th birth anniversary.

In his inaugural speech, Deka said that this 50th book written by Baruah is similar to his earlier books in that those are also the treasure troves of informations on different topics and subjects.

Those who attended the function and praised writer Santanu Kaushik for his continued zeal in bringing out one informative volume after another were Prantik editor Pradip Baruah, publisher Surjya Hazarika, journalist-writer Haidar Hussain, Sadin editor Anuradha Sarma Puzari, writer Abhijit Sarma Barua, writer Phanindra Kumar Deb Choudhury, publisher Nagen Sarma, dramatist Karuna Deka, writer-journalist Manoram Gogoi among others. Anchored by journalist Shankar Kaushik Baruah, a song sung by journalist Gautam Sarma enthralled everyone present.
