UDALGURI, March 30 - The BTC chief and the president of the BPF does not like leaders having a voice and whoever dares to question his activities, is packed off. He runs a dictatorship and allows unabated corruption in the region, said the former MP of Kokrakjhar Lok Sabha seat, Sansuma Khungur Bwismuthiary while addressing a congregation of voters arranged by the United Peoples Party (UPP) here at Dimakuchi under the 64-Panery LAC in Udalguri district on Tuesday.
I had served the BPF for a long time and my experience tells you that if you question Hagrama Mohilary on any issue related to the development of the region, you will be kicked off. Hagrama was encouraging large-scale corruption in the BTC region by kicking off leaders having a voice.
The poll meeting to this effect chaired by Nirmal Ch Boro, president of the Bhergaon district committee of the UPP was also addressed by Rinjoy Boro, president of the Udalguri district committee of the ABSU. Referring to the recent speech of deputy chief of BTC Kampa Borgoyari, Boro said that the BPF leader was trying to fool the unmarried women by assuring them scooties if the BPF won the elections and said that the leaders had made false promises to the voters. If the Congress-led Government comes to power, many BPF leaders would be jailed on charges of corruption, he observed.
The election rally was also attended by Nandaram Boro, UPP candidate for 64-Pannery LAC among many others.
