GUWAHATI, June 17 - Additional Chief Secretary (Home and Political), Kumar Sanjay Krishna, today took stock of the ongoing work at the NRC office in Kamrup (Metro) district. He also made a surprise visit to the Office of the Revenue Circle in Sonapur under Kamrup (M).
Krishna also visited the Office of Revenue Circle and the Block Development Office at Mayong in Morigaon district and assessed the progress of the NRC update in the district.
Krishna, who is also the Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management department, also reviewed the progress of various government schemes.
He advocated improved infrastructure of the office of the Revenue Circle and directed the officials concerned to maintain the records properly. He directed the officials engaged in NRC update work to ensure timely completion of the work.
