Sanitization, distribution of food by NDRF

GUWAHATI, April 30 - The 1st Battalion NDRF Guwahati today carried out a sanitization drive at Reserve Bank of India and Gauhati University. NDRF teams sprayed disinfectants on the premises as well as the vicinity of both the institutions.

During the programme the NDRF rescuers laid emphasis on social distancing, hand washing, use of sanitizer and following lockdown norms to contain spread of coronavirus.

The NDRF rescuers also distributed food among more than 2,500 needy people at Matiyapara, Jahajghat, Uzan Bazar, , Katamura, Bargaon, Changsari, Bazarapara, Palasbari and Mirza today.

The exercise was carried out in collaboration of Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad and Amrit Bhog Bhandara Guwahati.

The Ajmal Foundation donated 200 packets of grocery items to mediapersons on the Guwahati Press Club premises today.

Rotary Club Guwahati also handed over hand sanitizers and face masks to the Press Club office-bearers.
