CINCINNATI, Aug 22 - Sania Mirza was the only Indian left competing in the Western and Southern Open by reaching the semifinals as Leander Paes and Rohan Bopanna were ousted from the men�s doubles with their respective partners, here.

Top seeded Indo-Swiss pair of Sania and Martina Hingis outplayed the American wild cards Christina Mchale and CoCo Vandeweghe 6-4 6-1 to move to the semifinals of the USD 2,701,240 WTA Premier tournament.

Fifth seed Bopanna and Florin Mergea lost the hard fought quarterfinal 1-6 6-1 12-14 to second seeds Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo. In the other quarterfinal, Paes and Stanislas Wawrinka suffered a 6-3 2-6 12-14 defeat at the hands of Feliciano Lopez and Max Mirnyi. � PTI
