SHILLONG, Dec 22 - Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangma today inaugurated a power sub-station at Mendipathar in North Garo Hills district, aimed at improvement of power supplies to the entire Garo Hills region.
The project was funded by North Eastern Council with a total cost of Rs 14.5 crore and is the third sub-station in Garo Hills after Nongalbibra and Rongkhon substations. He dedicated the substation to the people of the Garo Hills region after switching on the transformer breaker and 33 KV feeder breakers. � PTI
