GUWAHATI, June 5 � All Assam Students� Union leader Samujjal Kumar Bhattacharyya today took over the charge of the chief advisor of the students� body. Bhattacharyya had announced to quit the organisation ahead of the Dudhnoi convention of AASU held in March this year.
Former president and general secretary of the organisation Shankar Prasad Roy and Tapan Gogoi have been appointed as advisors to the students� body.
A statement from the AASU welcomed Bhattacharyya�s decision to join as a chief advisor.
