UDALGURI, Sept 30 � Salbagan Sports Club of Gossaingaon entered the quarterfinal of the 17th Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma Gold Cup Football Championship today by routing Khoirabari Regional Bodo Club 7-1 in the first pre-quarter final played here at Udalguri Stadium.
It was Kaushik Narzary, the star striker of Salbagan SC, who made his career�s first hattrick by scoring in the 16th 56th minute and 72nd minutes. Till the lemon break, the Salbagan boys were 1-0. His teammate Santhala Goyary(2) increased the margin to 2-0 in the 53rd minute, while another Salbagan striker Lanka Basumatary further increased the team tally to 4-0 in 70th minute. In the one-sided match, it was Biplab Boro, striker of Khoirabari Regional Bodo Club, who reduced the margin to 5-1 in the 72nd minute. Shimal Mochaharyof the winning team added another to increase the margin to 6-1 in the 77th minute followed by his teammate Dhananjay Brahma finally scoring to make it 7-1.
