Gossaigaon, February 8: In a joint effort by the Central Range Forest staff of Kachugaon forest division in Gossaigaon sub-division of Kokrajhar district, environment & forest protection and green forest protection Congervation detected huge quantity of Sal-firewood on their sudden raids against the illegal transporting of the firewood at Anthaibari.
The Forest Range officer of Central Range Pranjal Talukdar informed that a Scorpio bearing registration No. ML-09 A 4033 in which illegal Sal firewood laden has been seized but the traders behind the bar fled the scene under the cover of darkness. The Sal-firewood detected on the night of 6th February.
