NORTH LAKHIMPUR, Jan 21 - Saksham Cyclothon, India�s Premier Cyclothon, which aims to propagate the importance of fuel conservation and efficient energy utilisation, among the citizens, was organised in North Lakhimpur today.

The cyclothon was organised by Indian Oil Corporation in North Lakhimpur for spreading awareness about conservation of fossil fuel.

It was organised to mark the Oil and Gas Conservation Month in Lakhimpur district and it was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Barun Bhuyan.

Young cycling enthusiasts and students participated in the cyclothon which crisscrossed North Lakhimpur town before reaching the finishing line at the circuit house. District Nodal Officer of IOCL Syed MM Hussain addressed to the rally and explained about the importance of Oil and Gas Conservation Month which is celebrated across the country.
