GUWAHATI, April 8 � The 31st annual session of the Sadou Asam Karmachari Parishad (SAKP) is being held with a three-day programme at the Majuli College at Kamalabari, Majuli from April 9, stated a press release.
Preparation for hosting the session has been completed by a reception committee formed with Majuli SDO Manabendra Pratap Singh as the president and Narayan Bora and Dhrubajyoti Payeng as working president and general secretary, respectively.
Around 1,200 delegates from across the State are expected to take part in the session to deliberate upon the issues concerning setting up of the Seventh Pay Commission and the burning issues concerning the State, the release added.
