Sai alumni body function

GUWAHATI, June 3 - Sri Sathya Sai Alumni Association held an hour-long function and Samarpran at Sri Sathya Sai Sadhana Nilayam, Jorpukhuri here today, according to a press release.

The programme began with lighting of the lamp by Satyen Sarma, president of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation (SSSSO) of Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. It was followed by a presentation by Sai Venkata Laxmi on her experience as a student of Sathya Sai Organisation from her school days to university M. Phil degree level. She said her personal experiences with Sai Baba enriched her with a lot of positive energy which helped her reach the present stage as a senior scientist at ISRO, Hyderabad.

SSSSO president Sarma thanked Laxmi for creating an electrifying environment with her lecture. Rupak Sarma and Dr Neil Bordoloi, president and secretary respectively of the host organisation also participated in the deliberations.

The meeting ended with vote of thanks offered by Pratima Barua. It was followed by one-hour bhajan singing by members of the Alumni Association and other devotees.

The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Oganisation of Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh will celebrate its golden jubilee on July 6 and 7 at the Brindavan Garden located on RG Baruah Road (Zoo-Narengi Tiniali).
