GUWAHATI, Aug 9 � The Kumarpara Sahitya Sabha will celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Sahityarathi Lakshminath Bezbaroa with a function commencing from 10am of August 17 at the Kumarpara Santi Sabha premises.
Asam Sahitya Sabha president Imran Shah will grace the occasion as the chief guest, while former Head of the Department of Folklore, Gauhati University Dr Nabin Sarma and president of the Kamrup (Metro) Sahitya Sabha Riju Hazarika will attend the function as distinguished guests.
A book on the Sahityarathi will also be released at the function by Imran Shah. An exhibition of sculpture and books, authored by the writers of Greater Kumarpara areas, is also planned on the occasion, said a press release.
