JORABAT, Nov 25 - The Sonapur Sahitya Sabha along with the Dimoria regional unit of AASU on Saturday organised �Sahityar Din� to pay a tribute to late Robin Chandra Medhi, former secretary of the Sabha, with a daylong programme at Sonapur Gyanjyoti High School near here.
Anima Medhi, wife of late Robin Chandra Medhi, inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
The programme also included a seminar on modern poetry, in which renowned short story writer �Galpabhaskar� Riju Hazarika and other eminent people took part.
A meeting was presided over by Heramba Prasad Saikia, the president of the Sonapur Sahitya Sabha.
Earlier on the day, Anima Medhi also laid the foundation stone for the construction of the main entrance gate of Sonapur Gyanjyoti High School in the memory of late Medhi.
