GUWAHATI, April 29 - The Asam Sahitya Sabha donated one day�s salary of its employees to the Assam Arogya Nidhi to boost the fight against the spread of COVID-19.
A total amount of Rs 25,000 was handed over to Health Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma for the cause on Tuesday.
A few days earlier, Sabha president Kuladhar Saikia, former president Paramananda Rajbongshi and secretary Jadav Sarma had contributed Rs 1 lakh from the Sabha�s fund to the Assam Arogya Nidhi, a statement said today.
