�Sahitya Divas� celebrated at city school

GUWAHATI, Aug 18 - City�s Nilachal Jatiya Vidyalaya celebrated �Sahitya Divas� today in memory of Lakshminath Bezbaroa with varied activities like recitation, quiz, debate and handwriting competitions.

The programme started with lighting of the lamp by the school Principal Rajib Kalita. The chief guest of the programme Dr Upen Rabha Hakasam, lecturer of Assamese, Gauhati University, inaugurated a wall magazine Pragarh and interacted with the students. He also answered queries made by the students. He also announced the winners of the �Hatelikha Aalochoni� prepared by the students from Class V to Class IX. Prizes were distributed among the students. The programme came to an end with the singing of State anthem in the Rabha language.
