Safe passage for Paresh Baruah to meet mother

GUWAHATI, Sept 16 - Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today announced a safe passage to United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) commander-in-chief Paresh Baruah to his native place Jeraigaon, if the ULFA leader desires to see his ailing mother Miliki Baruah, stated an official press release here.

The Chief Minister said if Paresh Baruah desires to see his ailing mother in his native place, the Government would consider it on humanitarian ground.

Meanwhile, Baruah�s mother Miliki Baruah, an octogenarian social worker, has been ailing for some days and the Chief Minister wished her a speedy recovery.

The Chief Minister also gave Rs 1 lakh from the CM�s Relief Fund for the treatment of Miliki Baruah, added the press release.
