Safari closure for elephant census

KAZIRANGA, March 21 - The jeep safari under the Central range of Kohora, Western range of Bagori and Burapahar range of Ghorakhati will remain closed on March 25 and jeep safari for Eastern range of Agaratoli would remain closed on March 26, for elephant population estimation. This was stated in an official notification issued by the office of Eastern Assam Wildlife Division ( Kaziranga).

Similarly, the elephant ride for visitors in Kaziranga National Park would remain closed on March 25 and 26 for all ranges of Kaziranga National Park for the elephant estimation programme.
