NALBARI, Dec 14 � The central function of the death anniversary of Sarat Ch Goswami, founder secretary of the Asam Sahitya Sabha will be held on the Kohinoor Sangha and Library premises at Guwakuchi in Nalbari district under the joint auspises of Nalbari Zilla Sahitya Sabha and Guwakuchi Anchalik Sakha Sahitya Sabha on December 19 .
The daylong programme will begin with hoisting of the Sahitya Sabha flag by Moinul Haque Chaudhuri, president of Guwakuchi Anchalik Sakha Sahitya Sabha. At 8.30 am floral tributes will be paid to Sarat Ch Goswami. A spot drawing competition will also be held.
President of Asam Sahitya Sabha Rang Bang Terang, president-elect Imran Shah, writers Dr Parag Kumar Bhattacharya, Dr Basanta Kumar Bhattacharya, Dr Ibbat Ali, Arupa Baruah and Nalbari Deputy Commissioner Lalit Gogoi will take part as guests in the open session to be held at 1.30 pm.

GUWAHATI, Dec 14� The 5th biennial conference of the All Assam Police Department Ministerial Officers� Association will be held under the aegis of the Tezpur unit and other units situated in Sonitpur district with a three-day programme from December 21 at Tezpur District Library Auditorium, said a press release.
