GUWAHATI, Jan 19 - The Torch of the 12th South Asian Games, which was launched at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi on January 17, reached here today.

The Torch was received at the airport by Tikhor, the Games� mascot along with officials of the Organising Committee.

The Torch was then taken to the Games Secretariat situated at Lalmati here. It will be taken to Shillong tomorrow, where it would take part in the Mini Marathon �Run for North East� on January 21. The Torch will then be brought back here on the same day and it will then take part in the �Run for North East� here on January 22.

After these events, the Torch will travel to all the eight States of the North East in a bid to create awareness about the Games.
