Rupshikha Saikia Borah to be new OIL CMD

GUWAHATI, Feb 11 � The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) has recommended the name of Rupshikha Saikia Borah as the new CMD of the Oil India Limited. She will take charge on July 1, 2015, according to a press release.

Smt Borah took over as Director (Finance) of OIL on October 1, 2013. She is the first ever lady functional director in the Board of OIL.

Smt Borah has over 27 years of experience in diverse fields of financial management, audit and strategic planning. She was honoured with the �Best CA Professional Woman Achiever Award� by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. She had also received a special commendation, �Petrofed Woman Executive of Oil & Gas Industry Award� by Petrofed, India. She will be the first ever lady CMD of any exploration and production company in the country, the press release claimed.

Smt Borah is a post-graduate in commerce from the Delhi School of Economics and has the distinction of being the first lady chartered accountant from North-East India. Among her laurels is the prestigious Fulbright Hubert Humphrey Fellowship, USA.
