GUWAHATI, June 1 � Considering the length of detention and the progress of investigation, the Gauhati High Court finally granted bail to Congress legislator Rumi Nath today.
Booked under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, besides the Arms Act and the Wildlife Protection Act, Rumi Nath was allowed to go on bail in both the cases registered with the Dispur and Azara police stations, with sureties of Rs 10,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively.
