DIBRUGARH, Oct 1 - With an aim to address the flood-related issues faced by the flood-affected people in Maijan area here the local administration today handed over one inflatable rubber boat for dedicated use in Maijan area to carry out rescue and relief operations during flood situation and reduce response time.
The inflatable rubber boat, which was donated by Oil India Limited, Duliajan under their CSR initiative, was handed over in a ceremonial function held in Maijan Tea Estate today.
The function was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dipu Kumar Deka, Dibrugarh East Revenue Circle officer Sujata Gogoi, OIL Senior Manager Pranjal Neog, and others from the tea garden.
