AIZAWL, Sept 20 - Veteran Congressman and sitting Lok Sabha member from Mizoram CL Ruala was today appointed vice president of Mizoram Pradesh Congress, the seat left vacant by the expulsion of resigned Home Minister R Lalzirliana.
�MPCC president Lal Thanhawla, as per section 2 of article IV of the party constitution, appointed CL Ruala as the vice president of MPCC,� Congress spokesperson David M Thangliana said.
The vice president�s post was left vacant by the expulsion of R Lalzirliana for �anti-party activities�, a few days after he resigned from Lal Thanhawla Cabinet.
