MORIGAON, Sept 23 - Ashok Dev Nath, a leading RSS activist of Morigaon district succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital at Guwahati on September 21 following an attack on him by some miscreants.
According to police sources, Ashok Dev Nath was attacked by a group of miscreants at about 8 pm on the day of Biswakarma Puja near Morigaon Krishna mandir with lethal weapons, which left him seriously injured. He was shifted to the GNRC on that day but he died day before yesterday. Meanwhile, two persons namely Jagadish Deka and Putu Bordoloi were arrested by the police and search is on to nab the main culprit. The �murder� has created sensation in the town.
The RSS, Morigaon unit termed the incident as a pre-planned murder and demanded a high level inquiry into the �murder�.
