RSC to celebrate 50th anniversary of moon landing

GUWAHATI, July 19 - The Regional Science Centre (RSC), Guwahati is going to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing tomorrow on its Khanapara premises here with various activities involving students, teachers and the general public.

The RSC, Guwahati will hold a painting competition for children on topics like �view of night sky�, �view of an astronaut on the moon� and �view of a spacecraft with an astronaut�.

There will be a popular science talk by Dr Kumud Chandra Bhattacharya, former scientist of Indian Space Research Organisation and former director of North East Space Application Centre.

The RSC will also organise an open house science quiz and a science film show on the occasion.

Entry for participants will be free.
