GUWAHATI, June 30 The Regional Science Centre (RSC) here will organise summer vacation hobby camps for children at its premises in Khanapara from July 1 to 21.

Students from various classes will be divided into groups and provided an opportunity to indulge in activities like clay modeling and art and craft, robotics (basic designing and programming of robots), hydrophonics (art of cultivation of plants without soil), science learning through fun, and designing and editing with photoshop, said a statement.

The participants in all the groups will be taken to some scientific laboratories and industries as part of an educational excursion on July 21. RSC Guwahati said that summer vacation hobby camps provide students a unique platform to develop their innovative ideas into meaningful kits or models.

This provides the children an opportunity to work as a team and effective utilisation of summer holidays. It is a nodal point for all those students who have a desire to explore science by practically doing experiment with fun. The activities help in building self-confidence of the children, it said. The number of seats for participation is limited and registration will be on first-cum- first-serve basis, the statement added.
