Rs 706.47 cr for roads in Arunachal under PMGSY

ITANAGAR, March 2 - Union Ministry of Rural Development has sanctioned Rs 706.47 crore for construction of 43 roads and 15 bridges in Arunachal Pradesh under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).

In total, 684.46 km of roads and 577 metres of bridges will be constructed from the sanctioned amount covering a huge unconnected habitation, said an order from the Ministry.

An elated Chief Minister Pema Khandu has extended his sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the �gift� and said that his concern for Arunachal Pradesh in terms of connectivity is evident from the positive gesture. He said with such continuous support Arunachal Pradesh shall transform itself at par with other developed States.

Khandu also thanked Union Minister for Rural Development Narendra Singh Tomar for keeping his promise and sanctioning critical projects of rural connectivity.
