Rs 60,000 looted

NAGAON, Nov 17 - A gang of unidentified gunmen last night at gunpoint looted around Rs 60, 000 from a petrol pump situated at Kacharigaon village near Puranigudam. The gang also took away the CCTV cameras and other accessories connected with those cameras fixed at the petrol pump and fled from the spot.

According to sources, two motorcycle-borne dacoits first rushed to Kacharigaon Reliance Petrol pump and pretended to have fuel filled into their motorcycle. Subsequently, six other members of the gang well-equipped with arms and ammunition, followed them in a car, threatened the employees by showing them guns, looted Rs 60,000 in cash and also took away all the CCTV cameras and other accessories set there and fled.

The petrol pump owner subsequently filed an FIR at Puranigudam police outpost in this regard. The police has registered a case and started investigation, sources said.
