SILCHAR, March 7 - Yet another incident of loot took place in Silchar�on Wednesday�after a man allegedly lost Rs 5 lakh in a broad daylight.�
Rakesh Reddy, Aaditional SP Cachar informed that the victim identified as Dr Sankar Bhattacharjee had withdrawn money from the main branch of the State Bank of India only to find that his money being snatched away from his car. The incident took place near Red Cross Hospital here when an unknown person approached the driver of Dr Bhattacharjee to hand over the bag containing the cash and ran away with the money, Reddy added.�
He informed that the driver of Bhattacharjee�s car Sabbir Hussain Mazumder has been detained by police for interrogation.�
