GUWAHATI, Feb 27 - Minister of Science and Technology Keshab Mahanta has announced a sanction of Rs 35 crore to facilitate construction of the Guwahati Biotech Park Incubation Centre on its permanent campus at Amingaon, according to an official press release here today.
The Minister made the announcement while addressing a function held in conformity with the Biotech Park�s foundation day celebration at Shilpgram, Panjabari here on February 25.
The foundation day talk was delivered by Dr Nomal Chandra Bora, founder and Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the Gauhati Neurological Research Centre (GNRC). This was followed by a video presentation on biodiversity by J Purakayastha of the voluntary organisation Help Earth.
The function was attended by senior government officials and officials of the NIPER, IIE, Boko-based Central Muga Research Station and other invited guests and students. Students of various city-based educational institutions were also present in the function, said the press release.
