GUWAHATI, March 7 - Miscreants have siphoned off Rs 3 lakh from the bank account of former Deputy Secretary of Gauhati University, Anjan Kumar Das. A complaint has been lodged with Jalukbari Police Station in this connection.
According to a member of the victim�s family, over the last three days the miscreants withdrew money several times from an ATM located in Jharkhand, from Das�s account registered at the GU SBI Branch.
Das came to know about the unauthorised transaction only after the bank itself blocked the ATM card after the suspicious transactions.
