DIBRUGARH, April 18 - The district administration has claimed sales of about Rs 1.40 crore worth locally grown vegetables in the district till April 17.
The administration in a statement said that local vegetables growers were permitted to sell their vegetables door-to-door so that they did not incur any losses due to the lockdown. Some 355 vegetable vendors are selling the vegetables through door-to-door delivery system in the district since March 27, a release stated.
As of April 17, a total of 7,01,235 kilograms of vegetable produced in the district worth about Rs 1.40 crore have been sold.
