AIZAWL, Sept 19 - Mizoram Government has announced Rs 10 lakh cash reward to young Indian hockey star from Mizoram, Lalremsiami, who was part of the Indian women hockey team that won silver medal at Asian Games in Jakarta recently.
Mizoram Sports Minister Zodintluanga recently had announced that the State Government would give Rs 10 lakh to the sports person besides the existing Rs 1 lakh sports incentive or honorarium. The Minister also said that one individual housing unit has been reserved for Lalremsiami under RAY project at Falkland neighbourhood here.
The North Eastern Council (NEC) has also given Rs 5 lakh cash reward to the sports person.
