JAMUGURIHAT, March 7 � In a meeting of the leading citizens of Jamugurihat convened by Padma Hazarika, MLA Chatiya today at Jamuguri IB, the MLA disclosed that an amount of Rs 1 crore has been sanctioned by the Government of Assam for construction of an inspection bungalow at the present site. He said that the old one will be dismantled and a new one will be constructed in its place.
He also said that an amount of Rs 20 lakh has been proposed for construction of the boundary wall of the IB campus. It is learnt that more than 10 bighas of land are there and as it is under encroachment the boundary wall will free the encroachment. Citizens present at the meeting thanked the MLA for taking the initiative for construction of the of the new IB. He also informed that for the modernisation of Baresahariya Bhaona Sanskrititik Bhawan, an amount of Rs 25 lakh has been sanctioned. The Baresahariya committee has urged the Government to sanction Rs 24 lakh more so that the modernisation project can be completed with all modern facilities including installation of air conditioners and sitting arrangements etc.
