RPF issues guidelines for rly travellers

GUWAHATI, Oct 19 - The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has issued guidelines for rail travellers on the occasion of the festive season. As per the guidelines, the general public have been asked to adhere to certain protocols at railway stations, onboard trains and at other railway areas.

The public have been asked to wear masks properly, maintain social distancing, not come to railway areas or stations, not to board a train if declared COVID-positive or if COVID test results are not yet out, and not to board a train after having been asked by the health check-up team at railway stations not to travel. The public has also been asked not to spit in public areas or to engage in activities which may create unclean or unhygienic conditions or affect public health and safety in railway stations and trains. Chanda said that wrongdoings in this regard may invite stringent imprisonment.
